Moderator: Al, this is doing my head in. Give me name of something you're trying to watch + i'll check here...Also, can't "send you goojara link". That'd require API which, to all intents + purposes, is not compatible toGoojara/this site.
Moderator: Just checked S5, E1 +6. Worked fine. Won't check em all. Don't have time. Hence rule #2. Also, you do know you need to give whatever you're trying to watch time to load, right? And if none of that applies to you then it's likely you'll have to change your browser. Try Opera, or Brave, or Chrome, or Firefox. Maybe VPN too.
Moderator: It appears, Gooj, that those willing to moderate are/can only moonlight (occasional assists). So, i'll continue to help, but there'll be times that i won't be as ubiquitous. More so when work kicks off. And the other day you replied to someone requesting "Korean dramas/movies"- "no copy...". Is that a blanket rule/directive ?
Moderator: Gooj, don't know if you saw my post last week. After 3 years, i have to go back to work. Won't have much time to give. A few people are interested in helping so that's why i've posted what i have...Anyone reading this- i'll be removing posts from site talk frequently over the next week so this information remains relevant. If you post anything here + require a response, make sure you check back within 48. Before your question is scrubbed. ~~~Moderator, ultimately, means to be moderate. Don't lose your cool dealing with stupid/ignorant people/requests. But be aware, some are young (children), some are mentally challenged, some are illiterate or don't have a good understandingof the english language. Though, that said, when faced with a "Darwin award" candidate, it can be difficult to not lose your cool...
Moderator: The idea is to make it easier for Gooj (1 person) to do his thing. He has little time as it is. Without someone to help/moderate, the forum would inevitably cease to exist. When Gooj posts content, you'll need to scroll back over posts + remove relevant requests to "posted", "unavailable", or "updated" section, as the case may be. Frees up space + time by stopping you, or Gooj, constantly re-reading.
Moderator: Gooj'll have to assign (if he accepts your help) designation codes that'll allow you to transfer posts to other sections. You'll need to communicate with Gooj via "site talk". And, as busy as he is, be aware, he doesn't always reply. Sometimes he misses your post + it gets lost/buried in the mix. Also, fyi, he finds it virtually impossible to source Tyler Perry content, reality, game, talk shows, + anything BET (channel). Step 1a~ Check every request. Reply (if need be) accordingly. Start with seeing if it's already on file. If it is, great- move to "posted". Don't bother checking if the links work unless they mention "not working", etc. You won't have enough time in the day tocheck everything + they should let you know anyway (rule #2).
Moderator: Step 1b~ If request mentions series/episode #, you need to check if it's been released (good site to check~ next-episode.net). If it hasn't aired yet (ignoring what's written in request box)- "banned"! Request box (movie) directions relate to rule #9. T.V movies are fine/allowed. So long as they're not airing on day of request. Keep a list of requested movies that aren't yet available, with HD release date if possible. Saves you having to constantly check on net. Sometimes (not that often) Gooj will source before Hd release. You can only go on info you have + people shouldn't be requesting them anyway.
Moderator: Step 1c~ If broken links/not working is mentioned you need to check. Sometimes they're not giving content time enough to load + they don't realise. If that's the case, they need to be informed of that, then moved to "posted". Also, read rule #2. If they mention a whole series is not working, i will check the most recent episode. If it's working, i will inform them, direct user to rule #2 + then move request to ignored section ("invalid..."). If request is for missing season/s, with shows already on file, + they're older (say...pre 2015), chances are- "unavailable". But that's not a given!
Moderator: Step 2a~ If it's not on file, i check a list i have of unavailable shows (compiled predominately from Goojara's replies to requests). If on list- move to unavailable section. I'll post the list next week (allowing time for this to be read). It would pay to transcribe list. And keep an eye on unavailable section. Gooj'll transfer, when he can, requests that are unavailable, there. Add 'em to list for future reference. Step 2b~ If not on file, or unavailable list, jump on net to confirm it exists. If not, inform them, then- "ignored".
Moderator: Step 2c~ Request may not be spelled correctly (rule #5). Easy/obvious mistakes- let be. Goojara will know what they're trying to say. Ridiculous mistakes- inform, or, as the case may be, "ignored". Use your judgement/discretion. Step 2d~ Sometimes there are other/alternative titles to what's requested. When searching on net i'll primarily use IMDB, or Wikipedia, to check that. If another title you'll need to check if that's on file. If so- inform, then "posted"...That's basically it. Though you'll need to familiarise yourself with rules + reply, or remove, accordingly.
Moderator: Like rule #4~ if something requested is one of several shows with same title, + they don't specify date, etc, inform then "invalid"...All of #5 (multiple posts, corrections), inform, i:e "Read rule #5. All of #5!", then ignored. Though i leave their first request posted. Sometimes requests are posted, accidentally, multiple times. Just remove extras (invalid). No need to inform. Rule #6~ Inform, then "invalid"...
Moderator: Rule #7~ Allow 2 weeks minimum before re-requesting. Inform, remove ("invalid") original post, leave second post. Or, depending on circumstances (reposting within hours/days)- "banned". Unless they're new to site, or someone who's shown good request etiquette previously. Use your discretion. All of rule #8~ inform, then ignored. Any questions, post on site talk + i'll reply a.s.a.p. I'll revisit to help/assist when, as, i can.
Moderator: Gooj, since code 403 is somewhat redundant, now, i'd like to reword it to employ in such a way as to avoid me having to explain/digress to so many people. I'll attempt to keep succint. You'll find it posted here tomorrow, thanks.
Moderator: How's long covid treating you, Gooj? Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
Moderator: Judging by your recent "ban blitz", i assume you're fed up with people ignoring what's written in the request box. And, if that's the case, can't say i disagree. So, i will follow your lead, unless directed otherwise. Perhaps a new code "designator" reflecting that? Maybe- "ignored request box directions, banned". Or not...
Moderator: Problems with t.v. Had to clear cookies. Problem solved. Moderator codes wiped! Also, asked the other day "how's Gooj doing", + "do you still want me posting updates"? No response...!?
